Designing a website is proving to be difficult! There are so many different facets that ned to be put together to make a successful site. I understand the importance of audience but somehow it seems difficult to make a website designed for employers. This reading was helpful in some ways, though.

It was a reminder that everyone will come to the site for the same reason, but will definitely approach it in very different ways. Every visitor will go to the site with a different mood. The reading, unlike other ones, seemed to stress the importance of the mood of the site. How will I present myself in a way that will appeal to a bunch of different moods? Should I be neutral or try to appeal to various emotions?

Overall, the main message I took from it was to ALWAYS keep your audience in the forefront of your mind while creating a site. While this seems easy, it really isn’t. I find myself worrying about making the site really pretty. While visually appealing sites are important, the main mission of the site will be as a portfolio.
